Eligibility:

A candidate who has passed the Degree of B.E. / B.Tech. in respective branch of any recognized University with minimum 50% marks in the final year is eligible for the admission to the appropriate Post Graduate program, by papers and dissertation. Also candidates who have appeared in final year qualifying examination and awaiting for results, are eligible to apply.

The Diploma holders after passing their section A and B examinations of Institution of Engineers (India) Kolkata are considered eligible for admission to Post Graduate program in the respective branch only when they qualify through the GATE examination for the respective branch.

For admission under the sponsored category the candidates should have a minimum of two years full time work experience as a permanent employee in a registered firm/company/industry/educational or research institution or in any Govt./Non Govt. autonomous organizations/Private organizations in the relevant field. The candidate under sponsored category will have to submit the certificate from his/her employer in the prescribed format given in Annexure-I. GATE qualified sponsored candidates will be given preference.

If the form is downloaded from website, it should accompany a D.D. of Rs. 900/- towards the cost of form and its processing, payable at Solapur and drawn in favour of Principal, Walchand Institute of Technology, Solapur.

Shri Aillak Pannalal Digambar Jain Pathashala Trust, established in 1885, started this college in July 1983 which is appropriately named after Seth Walchand Hirachand, one of our country's pioneer's of industrial development.
